KAL FAQ

Q: KAL? What's a KAL?

A: KAL stands for Knit-A-Long. Essentially, a KAL consists of a group of knitters knitting the same pattern at the same time. We choose patterns that we love, that we think our customers will really love too. Typically our KAL projects are at an intermediate level.

Q: I'm not a very fast knitter, do I have to keep on a schedule?

A: Nope! Every knitter has their own pace, and there is no need to knit according to a schedule. There is no need to try to be finished at a certain time.

Q: So, why participate in a WildFibers KAL?

A: Staff at the shop have knitted the project in advance, so we are all familiar with not only the pattern, but the yarn we recommend. We can help with any issues that may arise in your knitting, we may have had the same problems and know how to fix it. KAL's are a great time to try a new technique, or something you may not have chosed to knit on your own, you can be confident that the pattern we have chosen is well written and there is always support available at the shop. Participants also receive 10% off the featured yarn specified for the project.
