WildFibers Class Difficulty Ratings:

Knitters love a challenge, but too much of a challenge can be overwhelming for new knitters. We have a rating system to make sure you can get the most out of the classes you want to take!

★ Our easiest level of class, suitable for those who have never knitted or crotched before. Want to learn to knit or crochet? Start here!

Skills needed: none

★★ You can cast on, knit and purl. You can make a scarf or a simple hat and are able to follow a basic written pattern.

Most knitters at this level have completed one or two projects.

Skills needed: knit, purl, cast on, bind off

★★★ This is for the intermediate beginner. Casting on, knitting, purling are no problem! For those who have knit flat, in the round and with DPNs.

Most knitters at this level have completed three to five projects.

Skills needed: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, yarn over, k2tog

★★★★ This level is for the knitter who is comfortable knitting, purling, basic increases and decreases. Comfortable knitting on DPNs, two circulars and/or magic loop. At this level, being able to read your knitting and tink (un-knit) to fix mistakes is recommended.

Most knitters at this level have completed five to ten projects.

Skills needed: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increasing (yo, kfb, m1l/r), decreasing (k2tog, ssk)

★★★★★ This level is a more advanced lesson focusing less on how-to knitting and more on specific techniques such as cables or brioche knitting. Five-star classes assume students can read knitting, fix mistakes, work from a chart, colorwork.

Most knitters at this level have completed ten to twenty projects.

Skills needed: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increasing (yo, kfb, m1l/r), decreasing (k2tog, ssk), knitting flat and knitting in the round on DPNs, Magic Loop or two circular needles

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★  Our most difficult classes fall into this category. For the experienced knitter who wants to stretch their skills. Knitters at this level are comfortable with pretty much anything knitting can throw at them.

Most knitters at this level have completed 50+ projects.

Skills needed: these classes are very specific, so each class will have specific requirements
