Blue Sky Fibers Summer Knit Along Part 3

I finished my Lakewood Tee today! This was a part of Blue Sky Fibers Summer KAL using Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton. Fresh off the needles, it is not blocked yet, but I really like the fit and feel of this top. I have substantially less ease in the fit of my top compared to BSF’s model, but I actually like the fit quite a bit.

I knit the second size, small as a shop sample. I did modify the neckline, I decreased two extra stitches right before starting the ribbing at the neck for a closer fitting neckline. This gave me 60 stitches, which matches the stitch count for the XS ribbing. I didn’t want the weight of the top to pull the neckline too wide. In hindsight, this was unnecessary. It is quite snug sliding over my head, but I love the jewel neckline anyway. I found this to be a highly enjoyable project- it would make a great first sweater.

We would love to see your versions in the shop, or tag us on social media with #wildfibersyarns to share your creations.

Happy knitting!

The finished Lakewood Tee.

Triangle detail on sleeve ribbing echos the hem design.
